Asia's next big Trend: Foot masks. Really? It might sound silly at first, but when you think about it again, it makes perfectly sense. We are standing on our feet all day long. Calluses, cracked heels are just totally unattractive. So taking care of our feet has to be a priority!

But what in earth is a foot mask? It is a treatment that rejuvenates your feet by exfoliating dead skin cells, while hydrating & retaining moisture. Now you can take care of your feet at home. You don't need to go to the salon just to experience the treatment your feet truly deserve.

There are different types of foot masks: gel, clay, emulsions & peel-off masks. They contain different ingredients like thickened water, clay, oils & essences. All of them remove dead skin & moisturize your feet.

The most famous foot masks are the peel-off mask. It contains lactic acid & alpha hydroxy acids to exfoliate dead skin cells. It also contains antibacterials & natural extracts. However, this treatment does not give you an instant effect. It usually takes 3-6 days before the peeling starts & 1-2 weeks to finish the whole process. If your skin starts to peel off, don't do anything. It is not good to peel-off the skin that is not ready yet. You can wear socks in order to prevent the temptation :-)

Use the peel-off mask at least once a month. Some of you might be grossed out of the idea of shedding your skin! But, it is actually satisfying to feel & see the results. Using this mask is not painful at all. It will actually feel slightly cold & tingly because most foot masks contain peppermint. After applying, your feet will feel softer & less calloused. And that's what we want, right?
